01 · Robotics & Dexterous Hands
Cutting finger-joint backlash in a dexterous hand
A 16-DOF dexterous hand was losing repeatability after 200,000 cycles. Ground shoulder pins and encapsulated screws took backlash out of the finger chain.

Holding a 0.35 mm head height in a camera module
A camera module stack had 0.4 mm of vertical budget for four screws. Wafer-head M1.0 screws with ±0.02 mm head height made the stack fit without a housing redesign.

Keeping heatsink clamp load through thermal cycling
An accelerator card was throttling after thermal cycling because heatsink screws were relaxing. Class 12.9 screws with controlled friction held preload through 1,000 cycles.

Have a joint that will not hold?
Send the assembly section, the cycle count and the failure mode. We will review it against the same method used in these studies.
