Ordering & sampling

5 questions

What is the minimum order quantity?
For standard sizes from existing tooling, 10,000 pieces per size. For a new die, the economic quantity is usually 50,000–100,000 pieces depending on size and complexity. Prototype and engineering quantities below these levels can be arranged.
How fast can I get samples?
Standard sizes: 1–3 working days. Modified standard parts: 5–8 working days. New tooling: 7–12 working days. Every sample shipment includes a dimensional report.
Can I mix sizes in one order?
Yes. Each size is priced separately and has its own minimum. Mixed pallets are fine; we will consolidate for shipment if the quantities justify it.
Do you supply matching driver bits?
Yes, for security drives and custom recesses. For standard Phillips and Torx we can also supply bits and a service kit for field technicians.
What are your payment terms?
Terms are agreed per customer and confirmed in the proforma invoice. New customers typically start with a deposit against the first order; established programmes move to open account terms.

Sizing & specification

5 questions

What is the smallest screw you can make?
M0.5 with 0.125 mm pitch, usually in stainless steel or brass. Below M0.6 a cross recess cannot be formed reliably, so a slotted drive is used.
Can you reverse-engineer a part from a sample?
Yes. Send the sample and we will measure it, produce a drawing for your approval, then manufacture to that drawing. Reverse engineering is common for legacy parts where the original drawing no longer exists.
Do you work from 3D models only?
A STEP file is a good start, but a drawing with tolerances, material, finish and thread class is needed before production. If you only have a model, our engineers will draft the specification for you to confirm.
Can you match a competitor part exactly?
We can match the fit and function, but we will not copy a proprietary design or a patented feature. If the part is a standard catalogue item, matching is straightforward.
How do I know which thread class to specify?
Use 6g unless the screw also locates the part or the mating thread is plated after tapping. In those cases 6f may be appropriate. If location is the real requirement, a shoulder screw or dowel pin is usually the better answer.

Quality & documentation

5 questions

Which certifications do you hold?
Our quality system is built to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 discipline, with environmental and safety management aligned to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. Certificate scope is site- and scope-specific — confirm the current certificate during RFQ.
Can you provide a full PPAP?
Yes, levels 1–4. PPAP is prepared per part number and includes dimensional results, material and performance tests, process flow, PFMEA, control plan and gauge MSA where required.
How long do you retain records?
A minimum of three years for standard products, and for the programme duration for automotive and medical parts. Records are linked to the lot code on the carton.
Do you allow customer audits?
Yes. We welcome customer and third-party audits. Please schedule at least two weeks in advance so the relevant production run is available during the visit.
What happens if a lot fails inspection?
The lot is quarantined, a nonconformance report is raised, and containment is applied to any shipped material from the same lot. Root cause is investigated, corrective action implemented, and effectiveness verified on the next run.

Materials & finishes

5 questions

Is stainless steel always the best choice?
No. Austenitic stainless is excellent in many environments but pits in chlorides and can gall against itself. In coastal or automotive under-hood applications a zinc-flake coated alloy steel often performs better and costs less.
What salt spray can you achieve?
Zinc trivalent: 96–240 h. Zinc-nickel: 480–720 h. Dacromet or zinc flake: 720–1,000 h. PVD with an interlayer: 96–480 h depending on the film. Stainless passivation is specified by application rather than hours.
Can you match a specific colour?
Yes for PVD and painted heads. Send a physical chip or a Pantone reference. We retain a master sample per project and verify each batch with a spectrophotometer.
Will coating affect the thread fit?
Yes. A 10 µm coating adds up to 20 µm diametrally. For Class 6f fits we gauge after coating or mask the thread. Tell us the fit class and the coating on the drawing so we can plan the sequence.
Do you provide food-contact or medical-grade finishes?
SUS316L with passivation and an FDA-compliant dry-film lubricant is our standard answer for food and medical applications. We can supply the material and lubricant declarations.

Tooling & custom parts

4 questions

Who owns the tooling?
Dies built for your part are exclusive to you. After amortisation they can be transferred to another supplier on request, subject to settlement of any outstanding tooling balance.
How long does a new die take?
7–12 working days for a standard head and drive geometry. Complex multi-station parts or custom drives take 3–4 weeks including trial and sample approval.
Can you modify an existing standard part?
Often yes — a different length, head or drive on an existing diameter can sometimes be produced by modifying existing tooling, which is faster and cheaper than a new die. Send the drawing and we will confirm.
Do you keep tooling for repeat orders?
Yes. Tooling is stored and maintained for the life of the programme, with a maintenance record. We do not scrap tooling without written instruction.

Logistics

4 questions

Where do you ship from?
All shipments leave from Bekasi, West Java, Indonesia. We ship to Asia, Europe and North America by express courier and air freight, and by sea for larger volumes.
What are typical production lead times?
Standard sizes from stock or scheduled runs: 2–3 weeks. New production after sample approval: 3–5 weeks depending on coating and sorting. PPAP adds 1–2 weeks after the pilot batch.
Can you hold consignment stock?
For established programmes with a stable forecast, we can discuss a buffer stock or consignment arrangement. This is agreed case by case and depends on the part and the forecast horizon.
How are parts packed for export?
Reel, matrix tray, bulk bag or cleanroom bag, in cartons with lot code, quantity, size, finish and inspection status. Cartons are palletised and shrink-wrapped for sea freight.
