Self-Clinching Grounding Standoff
The Self-Clinching Grounding Standoff establishes the electrical path that safety grounding depends on. It is pressed into sheet metal, where the clinching geometry forms a permanent, tight contact between the fastener and the panel.
That tight, cold-formed interface produces low contact resistance, so fault current has a dependable path to earth. Because the joint is mechanical and permanent, the connection does not degrade the way a fastened lug or a painted-over surface can, and it maintains continuity while also resisting torque-out.
Installation requires no welding and no secondary tapping, which simplifies the panel build: the grounding point is created in the same press operation used for other clinch hardware. Equipment gains better anti-interference behaviour and a safer electrical installation.
