IP68 Pre-applied Adhesive Sealing Self-Clinching Standoff
This standoff seals the panel as it is installed. The base is prepared with a precision pre-applied sealant in production; when the standoff is clinched into sheet metal, the sealant is compressed and forced into the clearance around the mounting hole.
That compression produces an IP68-rated barrier — the panel hole is closed against water and dust without a gasket being placed on the line. At the same time, the clinching geometry anchors the standoff with exceptional torque-out and push-out resistance, so the internal thread stays stable under load.
The outcome is an automated dry-seal assembly process for thin sheet metal: no gasket to position, no wet sealant to dispense, no adhesive cure time. Fewer parts and fewer steps mean faster assembly and a lower risk of a missed seal.
Extensively used in 5G communication radomes, new-energy vehicle electronic control boxes and outdoor security surveillance systems, these standoffs are also suited to avionics equipment, precision medical devices and smart power distribution cabinets.
They meet the demand for sealed, highly automated sheet metal assembly in equipment where internal electronics must be protected from weather and washdown.
