Tangless Thread Inserts
A tangless thread insert is a wire-thread insert whose ends meet in a symmetrical hook groove instead of a traditional drive tang. Conventional inserts must have their tang snapped off after installation, and that small fragment can fall into the assembly as dangerous foreign-object debris. The tangless design removes this step entirely: the insert can be driven from either end, installs non-directionally and leaves nothing behind.
