High-Precision Threaded Insert

High-Precision Threaded Insert

High-Precision Threaded Inserts are manufactured from premium alloy steel or stainless steel using precision deep-hole machining and fine-ground threading. High coaxiality between internal and external threads provides a strong, wear-resistant, permanent internal thread for low-strength base materials.

Product Specifications

Product Description

The High-Precision Threaded Insert creates a durable machine thread inside materials that cannot provide one themselves. It carries both an external thread, which holds it in the parent material, and an internal thread, which receives the bolt — with both produced by deep-hole machining and fine grinding.

Grinding the threads rather than cutting them gives accurate geometry, a smooth flank finish and high coaxiality between the internal and external thread forms. That precision matters because misalignment between the two threads loads the joint unevenly and shortens its life. With accurate coaxiality, tightening torque transfers predictably into clamp load.

Made from premium alloy steel or stainless steel, the insert resists wear and repeated assembly. It prevents thread stripping and fatigue failure in aluminum and magnesium castings, engineering plastics and composites, extending the life of components whose base material would otherwise limit the number of times a joint could be opened.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Dual Internal and External Threads: Provides a strong internal thread inside low-strength materials.
  • Fine-Ground Threads: Ground flanks give accurate geometry and smooth engagement.
  • High Coaxiality: Aligned thread forms transfer tightening torque evenly into clamp load.
  • Premium Alloy or Stainless Steel: Wear-resistant material survives repeated assembly cycles.
  • Anti-Stripping Protection: Prevents thread stripping and fatigue failure in soft substrates.
  • Permanent Repair Capability: Restores and upgrades damaged or weak threads in existing components.

Application Industries

Extensively used for fastening in aluminum-magnesium alloy castings, engineering plastics and composite materials, these inserts are deeply integrated into automotive powertrains, new energy battery packs and communication equipment.

They suit any design where a low-strength base material must accept a high-strength, repeatedly used threaded connection.
