Double-Sided Serrated Conical Washer
The Double-Sided Serrated Conical Washer is a locking element with two active principles built into one part. Its conical shape gives it spring behaviour: as the joint is tightened, the washer flattens and stores elastic energy, which then presses back against the joint.
Serrations on both faces add the second principle. They bite into the bolt head side and the part surface, increasing friction so the joint resists rotation, while the conical form compensates for the small settlements and thermal movements that make ordinary joints lose preload over time.
The combination provides anti-loosening performance and extreme pressure resistance in threaded assemblies subject to intense vibration and alternating loads. Because it works through elastic deformation, the washer does not rely on damaging the mating surfaces to hold, and it keeps the joint tight through repeated thermal cycling.
Extensively used in electrical switchgear, rail transit, construction machinery and automotive chassis connections, these washers are ideal for conductive joints, long-span brackets and fastening points subject to thermal expansion and contraction.
They meet the dual industrial requirements of reliable electrical contact and dependable resistance to vibration-induced loosening, making them suitable for busbar connections, structural brackets and heavy equipment frames.
