Wedge-Lock Dual-Layer Washer
The Wedge-Lock Dual-Layer Washer works on a different principle from a conventional washer. It consists of two bonded layers whose facing surfaces carry radial cams; when a pair is used under a bolt and under a nut, the cams ride up on each other rather than sliding.
That geometry turns loosening motion into a wedging action. Any rotation that would normally back the fastener off forces the cams to climb, which increases tension in the bolt instead — so the joint tightens against loosening rather than surrendering to it. Because the mechanism works through tension, it does not depend on friction and cannot lose effectiveness as surfaces settle.
Made from high-hardness alloy steel and finished with a high-performance anti-corrosion coating, the washer delivers strong locking force without gouging the mating components.
