Torx Dual-Component Screw with Integrated Vibration Lock
The Torx Dual-Component Screw is designed for precision-critical assemblies: optical stages, sensor modules and thin electronics where the fastener must hold position rather than simply clamp. Loosening of a few thousandths of a millimeter degrades alignment, so the screw applies two strategies at once.
The first is the drive system. A Torx (hexalobular) recess from T6 to T20 eliminates cam-out even with less than 0.5mm of clearance around the head, and delivers 30% higher torque accuracy than a Phillips drive (ISO 10664 compliant). Accurate torque transfer means the applied torque reliably becomes preload, which is what keeps a precision joint stable.
The second is the built-in vibration lock, available in two forms depending on the application: a pre-applied anaerobic adhesive that has been salt-spray tested for 500 hours, or an integrated sealing ring rated to IP67. Both options remove the need for secondary processes on the line — no dispensing station, no separate seal — while the compact dual-head design saves 0.3mm of stack height against standard screws. That makes the screw workable inside assembly envelopes under 2mm, such as 5G mmWave modules and medical sensors.
Ideal where fastener failure costs production time, the screw serves precision instruments such as optical alignment systems that demand sub-0.005mm positional stability, thin consumer electronics including tablets and wearables, and outdoor base stations that need fastening which is simultaneously vibration-proof and moisture-resistant.
Automation controls also depend on it: PLCs, robotics and servo drives exposed to sustained vibration benefit from a fastener that keeps its preload without threadlocker applied at the station.
