The Compact Torx Cylinder Head Assembly Screw with Pre-Applied Adhesive is built for PCB-mounted modules and other assemblies where clearance is measured in tenths of a millimeter. Three features work together: an integrated Torx drive, a pre-applied anaerobic adhesive, and a washer integrated into the head.
The Torx drive (T6–T15) resists 30% higher torque than a Phillips drive without cam-out (per ISO 10664). In assemblies with as little as 0.3mm of tool clearance, that difference is decisive: tool slippage of 0.05mm is enough to damage surrounding components and drive rework rates up sharply (IPC-7351B), so a drive that stays engaged protects both the part and the board.
The pre-applied anaerobic adhesive — equivalent in behaviour to a medium-strength threadlocker such as Loctite 222 — maintains 92% torque retention after 500 vibration cycles from 5 to 500Hz at 10G, and the fastener is validated against ASTM F593 Grade A4-70 requirements for M1.0–M2.5 micro-fastener applications. Because the washer is integrated into the head, the stack height drops by 0.4mm compared with standalone components, enabling a 1.2mm total profile for ultra-thin devices where excess height affects optical calibration and light leakage.
Deployed in precision-critical assemblies where fastener failure causes calibration downtime, this screw is used in medical imaging sensor modules that tolerate less than 0.005mm of shift, 5G mmWave and Sub-6GHz front-end units that live through thermal cycling, and industrial PLC controllers exposed to sustained vibration in robotic joints.
Automotive ADAS camera housings also use it, where a thin structure must hold angular alignment under chassis vibration. The same combination of compact height, vibration-proof locking and tight positional control makes it a strong candidate for wearables, optical modules and other miniaturized electronics.
