Flush-Fit Hex Rivet Nut

Flush-Fit Hex Rivet Nut

The Flush-Fit Hex Rivet Nut uses a full-hex body installed by pull riveting to create high-strength internal threading in thin sheet. Its flat, countersunk head aligns seamlessly with the panel surface, delivering exceptional flatness and vibration-resistant fastening for assemblies where flush mounting is non-negotiable.

Product Specifications

Product Description

The Flush-Fit Hex Rivet Nut is a blind-installed threaded insert for sheet metal and thin-walled structures. A full-hex body gives the nut a larger bearing area against the panel than a round body, improving load transfer and resistance to rotation once the rivet has been set.

Installation is by pull riveting: the nut is placed in the prepared hole, the setting tool compresses the body from the blind side, and the panel is clamped permanently between the head and the deformed section. The result is a strong internal thread that can be used with standard screws and that will not turn or pull through in service.

The head is countersunk so it finishes flush with the sheet. That zero-protrusion mounting keeps surfaces flat for gaskets, mating panels and sliding components, and it eliminates the installation errors and rework caused by proud heads in precision assemblies. Combined with the tensile strength of the hex body, the design delivers flatness and vibration resistance at the same time.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Full-Hex Body: Larger bearing area against the panel improves load transfer and resists rotation after setting.
  • Pull-Rivet Installation: Set from one side of the workpiece, ideal for closed sections and single-sided access.
  • Flush Countersunk Head: Zero protrusion keeps the joint surface flat for gaskets, mating panels and sliding parts.
  • High-Strength Internal Thread: Provides a durable machine thread in sheet metal that is too thin to tap.
  • Vibration-Resistant: The clamped, deformed body holds firmly under continuous vibration and thermal cycling.

Application Industries

Engineered for environments that demand zero protrusion and maximum thread integrity, the flush-fit hex rivet nut is used in server racks and data-center enclosures, telecom hardware such as 5G base stations and network cabinets, and industrial control panels including PLC housings and automation frames.

It also suits sheet metal fabrications in aerospace brackets and medical device chassis, where a flat surface and a dependable thread must coexist on the same panel.
