This screw combines a high-performance drive with a locking system that is built into the thread. It is cold-headed from premium alloy steel, then a nylon patch is applied to the thread in production, so the locking feature is present on every part.

When the screw is driven in, the nylon patch is compressed and creates controlled prevailing torque — friction that resists the rotation which vibration and impact would otherwise cause. Unlike a cured adhesive, the nylon patch allows the screw to be loosened and retightened several times without losing its holding force, which suits products that are assembled, tested and serviced.

The hexalobular (Torx) socket transfers torque through a broad contact area, reducing the risk of cam-out during high-speed driving and keeping automated assembly reliable. Cam-out is more than an inconvenience: it damages the head, slows the line and produces rejects.
