Integrated Anti-Loosening & Anti-Settlement Nut
The Integrated Anti-Loosening & Anti-Settlement Nut addresses two failure modes that quietly destroy bolt preload. The first is settlement: when the bearing pressure under a nut is high, soft materials — aluminum, plastics and some composites — deform and the joint loses clamp load. The second is loosening from vibration.
An oversized bearing flange handles the first problem. Spreading the same force across a larger area reduces unit pressure, so the substrate is far less likely to embed. The joint keeps its preload, and the parts underneath stay dimensionally intact.
The anti-loosening thread or indentation structure handles the second. It generates a persistent lateral locking force that resists rotation even under severe vibration, so preload does not decay over time.
