IP68 O-Ring Sealing Nut
The IP68 O-Ring Sealing Nut seals the joint while it fastens it. A precision groove is machined into the nut, and a high-performance fluororubber (FKM) O-ring is seated in it. FKM is chosen for its wide temperature tolerance and resistance to oils, fuels and chemicals, which suits demanding fluid systems.
When the nut is tightened, the O-ring is compressed and fills the clearances between the mating surfaces. The seal is bidirectional, so it holds against pressure from either direction — an important property where a fluid system may be pressurized from either side of a connection.
Alongside sealing, the nut offers excellent anti-vibration and anti-loosening behaviour and high corrosion resistance, maintaining stable clamping force and airtightness even under complex operating conditions. The joint stays tight, dry and electrically consistent through thermal cycling and exposure.
Extensively used in new-energy vehicle high-voltage distribution boxes, 5G communication base stations, underwater drones and smart utility meters, these nuts are designed for sealed interfaces with rigorous water, oil and dust resistance requirements.
They are a practical choice wherever a threaded connection must remain leak-tight while carrying electrical or fluid interfaces.
