The IP68 Pre-applied Adhesive Sealing Bolt is a sealing solution that is already part of the fastener. A specialized sealant is applied to the thread in production; when the bolt is tightened, the coating is compressed and fills the clearances between the mating threads, closing the leak path along the thread helix.

Because the seal is created by the tightening operation itself, there is no sealant to dispense, no curing station and no gasket to position. The bolt both locks mechanically and seals — the same step delivers both functions, which simplifies the assembly process and removes a source of process variation.

The fastener offers strong resistance to chemical media and to vibration-induced loosening, and it keeps joints leak-proof even under cyclic pressure conditions. Cold-heading gives the body the strength and dimensional consistency needed for a reliable, repeatable seal.
