Self-Clinching Standoff / Rivet Stud
Self-Clinching Standoffs and Rivet Studs do two jobs in one component: they join thin sheet metal parts and they create a threaded support point on the panel. The parts are formed by high-strength precision cold-heading, which gives them the toughness and dimensional accuracy that press-in fasteners need.
At the base, a serrated clinching ring presses into the sheet and cold-forms the material into the fastener's undercut. That form-fit is what holds the part: it delivers high torque-out and push-out resistance, so the standoff or stud stays put even in equipment that vibrates continuously.
