Torx Captive Panel Screws with Retention Collar
The Torx Captive Panel Screw uses an unthreaded pilot section behind the thread: the attached panel is clamped between the head and this collar, so the screw rotates freely for engagement but can never back out of the panel. The design converts any standard screw into a non-detachable fastener without washers, clips or secondary retaining rings.
The TORX® drive transfers torque over six angled lobes, minimizing cam-out during repeated assembly and service cycles. Threads are rolled for strength and consistent fit, and the screw is available in carbon steel with protective plating or stainless steel for harsh environments.
Used across telecom racks and server chassis, industrial control cabinets, medical equipment covers, audio-visual panels and any serviceable enclosure where dropped screws create contamination, short-circuit or FOD risks.
