Product Description

The ZT68 High-Strength Aluminum Alloy Bolt is cold-headed from 7-series aluminum alloy and heat-treated to reach a tensile strength of 600 MPa — a level previously achievable only with steel fasteners. Because the aluminum alloy weighs roughly one third of steel, replacing steel bolts with ZT68 removes significant mass from moving and weight-critical assemblies without sacrificing clamping performance.

Cold forming aligns the metal grain flow along the bolt contour, so the head-to-shank transition carries load more predictably than machined alternatives. A hard-anodized finish builds a dense oxide layer that resists galvanic-friendly corrosion, salt spray and handling wear, and can be specified in different colors for visual identification.

The bolt is produced on multi-station cold-heading lines with full dimensional control of thread, head and shank geometry, and supports non-standard customization against customer drawings with rapid sampling.
