High-Current Cold Crimp Terminal
The High-Current Cold Crimp Terminal is built for power paths where resistance is the enemy. It is made from C18150 copper alloy with 98% IACS conductivity — a material capable of continuous current in the 600A class to IEC 61238-1 Class B — and delivers a contact resistance below 0.15mΩ at full load.
Low resistance matters because resistance becomes heat. The terminal is validated to sustain a temperature rise under 30℃ (UL 486A Sec 4.3.2) at full load, which keeps joints out of the thermal-runaway regime. Even a small resistance increase compounds: a 0.1mΩ rise translates into several degrees of excess heat, and excess heat accelerates oxidation, which raises resistance further — the loop that ends in connector failure or fire.
Manufacturing quality locks the performance in. Precision cold heading holds tolerance to ±0.02mm (ISO 2768-mK) and compresses the wire strands fully, so there are no micro-gaps to raise resistance at the crimp. ASTM B733 SC2 electroless nickel plating provides 2,000 hours of salt spray resistance (ASTM B117), protecting the joint in outdoor and industrial environments.
