The fix is elegantly simple: a helical wire thread insert that converts the tapped hole into a hard, wear-resistant thread with load spread across its full length.

Comparative testing shows that a tapped hole fitted with a wire thread insert distributes load over many more engaged coils, increasing effective pull-out strength substantially compared with a bare tapped hole in the same alloy.
