The rhythm
- RFQ with full drawing callouts: quote within days; ambiguous drawings add a clarification round (a week, typically).
- DFM review: manufacturability feedback — die feasibility, thread rolling limits, coating windows — before any metal moves.
- Samples: machined or short-run in 2–4 weeks; joint testing on your side in parallel.
- Qualification: FAI/PPAP package after production tooling, 2–3 weeks including enhanced first-lot inspection.
- Ramp: standard lead times apply once the process freezes; the first production lot carries elevated inspection.
