From wire coil to finished part,
all under one roof.
Cold heading is the middle of the job, not the whole of it. Tool making, heat treatment, thread rolling, surface engineering and automated inspection all happen inside our walls, which is how the tolerances stay put and lead times stay short.
Seven steps, zero hand-offs
One process chain with a named owner at each step. Every step is measured and tied back to the finished batch.
In-house tool shop builds and maintains the forming dies that define every geometry.
Single- and multi-station forming up to M27 shapes near-net parts in seconds with continuous grain flow.
Quenching, tempering and aging unlock strength grades from 8.8 to 14.9-development.
Post-heat-treatment rolling builds residual compressive stress at the thread root for fatigue life.
Anodizing, plating, PVD and special coatings set corrosion, friction and appearance.
Automatic assembly of multi-part fasteners plus CNC finishing of critical features.
Optical sorting verifies every dimension and drive on high-volume lines before packing.
Processes we control daily
Cold heading & forming
Single- and multi-station cold headers from M0.6 to M27, including flange forming, extruding, trimming and complex near-net-shape parts. One operation replaces minutes of machining.
Heat treatment
Solution treatment, quenching, tempering and aging run in-house, with hardness checked on every batch. This is the step that decides whether a 12.9 part really is 12.9.
Thread rolling
Thread rolling and knurling after heat treatment leave compressive stress at the thread root, which is what fatigue life depends on in safety joints.
Surface engineering
Anodizing (60-day salt spray), zinc and zinc-nickel plating, PVD, pre-applied adhesives and sealants, PTFE and dry-film lubricants, with friction tuned to the torque your assembly line actually uses.
CNC machining & finishing
Secondary operations on threads, seating faces and shoulders, run only where cold heading cannot hold the tolerance.
Automated assembly
Pins, springs, plugs and washers assembled and pre-loaded automatically on patented equipment. In production this has lifted assembly efficiency by up to 35%.
A material and a finish for every joint
Selection is driven by the joint: substrate, environment, assembly method and cost target. These are the levers we tune most often.
Materials
- Carbon & alloy steels: 10B21, SCM435 & more; strength grades 8.8–12.9+
- Stainless steels: austenitic non-magnetic and martensitic grades
- Aluminum alloys: ZT68 7xxx ultra-high strength, 6056, 6061
- Copper alloys & specialty: for conductivity and exotic environments
Special surface treatments
- X surface treatment: hardened anti-adhesion finish for tool screws
- Zinc & zinc-nickel: up to 480 h red-rust resistance
- DLC / PVD / CVD: hard, low-friction, wear-resistant coatings
- Pre-applied adhesives & sealants: locking and sealing in one step
A design partner, not just a supplier
We measure our value in total cost, not unit price. That is why our engineers work upstream, where 85% of a product's cost is locked in.
Design consulting
Joint design, material and drive selection, simulation support and drawing review. Programs that use all four typically reach production drawings about 30% faster.
Rapid samples
From drawing to prototype in as little as one day when every step stays in-house, or about a week if a process has to be subcontracted.
Teardown analysis
Joint teardown with your team to rationalize drive types, reduce part numbers and replace multi-part stacks with single smarter fasteners.
Process optimization
CNC-to-cold-heading conversions, parameter tuning and design-for-manufacture that routinely cut unit cost 20–60%.
One part, three wins:
stronger, faster, 60% cheaper
An EV battery lifting sleeve was machined from 6061 bar stock: 20 minutes per part, 60 units a day, and a severed grain structure that risked fatigue fractures under lifting loads.
We re-engineered it as cold heading with minimal secondary machining. Grain flow now runs unbroken through the flange and body, material utilization reached 98%, and cycle time fell to under four minutes.
What our engineers are forging next
Cold-headed 14.9-grade fine threads
Ultra-high-strength fine-pitch bolts for engines, generators, two-wheelers and aviation, with parts pushed to the edge of what cold heading can form.
Galvanic-corrosion isolation
8.8-grade aluminum bolts and isolation coatings engineered for magnesium components across auto and two-wheeler programs.
M1–M4 maintenance-free joints
High-strength, maintenance-free connection solutions for humanoid robot joints, hollow-cup motors, reducers and dexterous hands.
Challenge our process engineers.
If a part is currently machined, expensive and high-volume, there is probably a smarter way to make it. Let's find it together.
